In about two weeks, on Saturday November 15, we will have our 3rd annual Nativity Retreat. This retreat is a time for us to gather as a community at the beginning of the Nativity Fast and tune our hearts to the melody of the incarnation—that most blessed of Divine Acts, which ushers in the rise of the Son in our hearts. 

This year, my good friend Fr Anthony Gilbert, will be guiding us through a contemplation of St Gregory the Theologian's Oration 38—On the Nativity of Christ and the well-known Kontakion of St Romanos the Melodist. I am confident this time will be a blessing for us. 

As a way to whet your appetites I want to share these two works with you. I ardently encourage you to read them—even if you cannot make it to the retreat—you will not be disappointed. 

The retreat will be from 10am to 6pm on Saturday the 15th—if you can come for all of it, wonderful, but if you can only come for part of it please still come. It will be a blessing.
